What is community leadership? How does community leadership differ from leadership in other organizations, such as private firms or the military?
A leader is simply an individual or a group that leads a certain organization that ensures the success which is necessary for their betterment. Therefore, when we consider a community we think about different individuals, businesses, organizations that make it a community.
Anyone can become a community leader of the functioning of the community and leads it towards its goal.
Community leadership is different from the leadership structure that other organizations follow. For example private firms and military is like a community that comprises of individuals from different parts of India or may be world that come together to perform the necessary tasks to achieve a particular goal. A community may not necessarily follow a hierarchy or a single person rule. It works on the principle of active participation of all the parties. In an organization, the head of the structure distributes duties on the basis of the strength of his subordinates to accomplice the task.
A community does not follow a closed leadership system like an army and usually collaborates or assists other organizations or shake hands with the government to resolve the issues that are faced inside and outside the a community.
