This Assessment is designed to test the knowledge that you have acquired throughout the unit. Use the following tips to help you answer the questions:

    • professional conduct that promotes trust with internal and external contacts
    • adjusting own interpersonal communication style to meet the organisation’s cultural diversity and ethical environment
  • plan for, and manage, the use of networks to support identifiable outcomes for the team and the organisation
  • develop and/or implement processes and systems to manage difficulties including:
    • identifying and resolving conflicts and other difficulties according to organisational policies and procedures
    • planning how to address difficulties
    • providing guidance, counselling and support to assist co-workers in resolving their work difficulties.

You are required to carefully read the short scenario below.You need to provide a relevant and complete answer demonstrating your opinions through a face to face group meeting. Please make sure to use appendix 1 and you must take meeting minutesduring themeetingthen submit your minutesto your assessor.

Scenario 1

The CEO of the company is visiting the office. They have put the organisation in for the local business awards. You are the supervisor of the organisation where you work has asked you to call a meeting to discuss communication amongst the staff, information sharing and delivery in the workplace.

Please notice that you will be observed and marked by your assessor or another academic third party.


  1. Summary of the business.
  2. Discuss how strategies and processes in the workplace can assist staff to understand and communicate with others about their roles and responsibilities.
  3. Develop and/or implement a consultation process for employees to openly share and raise issues.Positively and constructively receive clear and relevant feedback from the process. A clear format of the process needs be identified in the meeting minutes.
  4. Develop or change a policyto ensure that the organisation’s cultural diversity and ethical values are adhered to. Ensure you refer to any relevant legislation.
  5. During the meeting, regulate your own interpersonal communication style to meet participant’s organisation’s cultural diversity and ethical environment to guide and support the team. Model professional conduct and trust.
