What would be some advantages to using a multi-group design for this study? What would this kind of research be able to tell you that a simple two-level study could not?
Advantages of using a multi-group design in this study:
- The different group of people ranging from 3hrs, 4hrs, 5hrs, and 6hrs of sleep, can be compared.
- Complex and accurate predictions can be made using this design technique. It helps to see the impact of sleep has on people.
- The data can be sorted into different groups for comparison. The conclusion can be easily reached by comparing data from these groups.
- We can take advantage of the power of the larger sample size of this study
The simple two-level report cannot fetch data for a detailed description of the effect sleep has on humans. The two-level study cannot accommodate the survey of more than two groups. The outcomes of the study are hard to predict if the two-level research is used. It always gives the average prediction report, which is mostly inaccurate. Hence, the multi-group research is more preferable than the two-level research.
