Two critical organisational factors must be used to determine the nature of the project manager should be applied. Those two primary considerations are the availability of the resources for the project and the percentage of core work that involves a plan.
The essential organisational factors which are required to determine appropriate project management structure are given as follows:

- The percentage of core work that includes the projects.
- The company should go for a fully projectized organisation if over 75 per cent of work involves projects.
- The matrix arrangement will be an appropriate structure if a firm has both a standard plan and products.
- A less formal arrangement will be probably enough in case the organisation has a limited project.
- Resource Availability
A resource is the most important and necessary asset to perform a certain task or project. Resource can be person/team/tool/finance/time. After analyzing the resources scenario of the company, project management should be done accordingly. Poor consideration resource planning may include project management structure, and it can result in running out of the resources through a project and delaying deadlines.
