a) HRM – Human Resource in today’s world has a very detailed and structured meaning. HR Professionals are those people which help the business to continue smoothly without much hiccups in the processes. It manages varies activities and the entire work flow of people and hence has diversed roles to perform.
Human Resources Management (HRM) is one of the most important element of any organization and it involves managing all sorts of business decisions including small and big ones which directly have an impact on the business as well as the work force of the organization.
b) HRM is a very important and crucial function to any and every organization. Hence, it can be classified on the basis of scope under the following heads:
- HRM used in personnel management – This function typically involves dealing with the man power directly such as Selection and recruitment of the right talent for the right job, giving them of the job training s and on the job training’s and inductions, deciding their compensations and bonuses, performance appraisal of the employees, leave policy etc. Also dealing with various employee issues and trying to resolve them at the earliest. The overall objective of HRM is to attain the organizational goals keeping in mind the individual goals of an employee.
HRM role in the welfare of the employee – The welfare of the employees deals with the basic and various amenities provided to the employee and the working conditions in which an employee has to work daily. These include a wide range of services such as the, transport facilities, health benefits, safety measures, ,medical facilities, welfare funds, bonuses etc. HRM used in maintaining industrial relations – Employees in any organization need to be given utmost importance and care. They form the most important part of any organization and they are a very delicate component to deal with. Since, employee relation matter a lot the HR Professionals have to be ultra careful with the labour unions and grievances and have to try and fulfil the basic needs of the employees to keep them happy and satisfied in the organization.
