HOW HAS SOCIAL MEDIA, SUCH AS TWITTER AND FACEBOOK, CHANGED MARKETINGS COMMUNICATION
In today’s era social media marketing and digital marketing are extremely important. Gone are the days of pint ads and newspaper, with the advancement in technology and introduction to smart phones, everything is available on the social media through just a click. We name a product or a service and we can find it inside social media. For example, tuition services, beauty products, books, food, clothes etc. For companies social media and digital marketing in the new thing and every company be it very small or very large is focusing and stressing on it. Companies are hiring full time employees specially to cater to a whole section to social media campaigns and marketing due to it’s large bandwidth.
Social media has become very customer friendly as now they can see various products, compare, they have a wide variety of choice to choose from. Customers now don’t have to go physically and look for a product as everything is available just at a click of a button. It is an advantage to the sellers also, as recently we have seen that a lot of people are able to open their ventures/businesses just on social media without needing a physical place, it therefore saves a lot of cost for the organization and helps them to use their extra saved money on the quality of product. Online presence is of utmost now and some of the very used social media platforms which have a massive user engagement are: Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter etc. As a result of this, it has become very important for every company to show an online presence on every platform. As now in today’s era nobody will reach the entire newspaper or print ads or hoardings. As everyone has smart phones today they prefer to be comfortable at their homes/work place and do online shopping which gives them immense amount of varieties to choose from at a comparatively lower rate , cash on delivery option and refund policy. The whole process is to make the customers clutter to such an extent that there is too much traffic and engagement on social media which helps the brand to grow and increase it’s band width.
We have even come to realize that decision marketing has a direct role in the purchases made by customer. For example, If I want to buy a T.V. I would always first search it online and compare the prices of the television between the online rates and offline rates. Then due to so many options I would do a thorough research about the brand which I want to buy, I would differentiate between the features of various brands, the colour, size, quality and compare the value for money. Also, go through the reviews of all the products. After doing a thorough research I will 90% chose which exactly T .V. do I want to purchase. Hence, it is very important for every company to be very active on the digital fronts and make it as one of the main market where focus should shift gradually from offline to online market.
