Human resource management involves managing the activities of human resources so that human resources can achieve the objectives and goals of the company. HRM includes following events like-
- Recruitment, selection, promotion, etc.
- Training and performance appraisal
- Payroll, leave management, etc.
Talent management is a much smaller or niche version of HR management under which the talent and skills of employees are identified and nurtured further by training, opinions, motivation, and so on.
The difference between the two is that-
- HRM is a broader term than talent management.
- HRM covers all the aspects of HR-related activities and processes while talent management only covers to improve and motivate the talent of an employee so that performance can be improved.
