Leadership lessons from the film Rudy:
- Fight for what you desire till you get it: Rudy had dreamt to be in Notre Dame Football team. Even though, everyone was not supporting him, he fought to achieve it.
- Set realistic goals and develop a strategic plan to achieve them: A realistic goal was set by Rudy to play in Notre Dame Team and he channelized all his energy to achieve that goal.
- Ignore the people who talk rubbish and focus on the goals: Everyone was against Rudy’s dream, even his family. People mocked him. Still he did not give up and was focused towards his goal.
- Prioritize the tasks to be done: To achieve something, one must divide his work into smaller achievable parts and must prioritize the task so that the important ones can be completed first.
- Sacrifice the least important things, if resources are not sufficient: If resources are limited, a person must choose the task which is ranks high in his priority list.
- One must never hesitate from taking initiatives: The initiative taken by Rudy to follow and achieve his dream, inspired others to follow their dreams too. Also initiatives are the first step towards his dream.
