Pick three communication competencies for which you feel you are currently strong and describe why you feel that way.
The three communication competencies that I feel are my strengths include active listening, empathy, and asking questions. More often than not, I listen much more during conversations than speak. I also usually make an attempt to fully understand what the other person is trying to communicate and ask questions along to way to facilitate that. On the other hand, three communication competencies where I could definitely use some improvements are lack of confidence, cohesion, and tone of voice. I do not consider myself to be an active speaker, so I often find that when I have to get a message across, I am not able to execute it the way I intend to. I often get intimidated in front of large groups of people, and this hinders my ability to speak with clarity as well. Furthermore, I feel that I speak with a flat tone during the conversation.
