Demand management is that part of the order fulfillment process which determines the customer demand and what the customers want. Demand forecasting is a key component of demand management, which helps to decide whether to make-to-stock or to make-to-order. So a firm’s order management depends on the conclusions from demand management or the demand forecasting. Order management program refers to the management of various events and activities associated with the order cycle, i.e., the period between a firm receives an order, and the order is shipped to fulfill that order. The customer relationship management is also closely associated with demand management and order management because customer relationship and customer service is often measured through the efficiency in the order management or the success in the order management because the key objective of the customer relationship management is to ensure that the customer gets exactly what needs to be done in the right time.
