Differences and similarities in international mobile marketing:
Advertisement display and acceptance of responses: Almost each country use different mobile browsers, some use Google chrome (America and Europe), some UC browser (China), and some Internet Explorer. So, the time, content, quality and presentation of ads differ and also the responses from the current and soon to be customers. The technology usage level differs in each of these countries. Americans and Europeans are technology pro while Indians and other Asians are comparatively less and the Africans are the least.
- Cost of Ads differ: Cost of ads depends on purchasing power of the consumer, inflation and disposable income. The income of Americans and Europeans is comparatively higher than Asians. Africans have even less. So revenue earning per customer differ a lot.
- Usage in terms of volume/ number of customers- The distribution of mobile ads is more in Asian countries as compared to Europe and America as Asian countries have high number of mobile phone users. Africans still lag behind.
- Cultural difference among countries is another reason for the variation in ads views and buying products online. The taste, preference and likings of consumers for products differ. Europe and America are developed economies so they mostly shop online via mobile ads and apps while Asian countries still think that to shop online is a risk and don’t trust mobile ads/apps but they use it for getting information and comparative discounts. While Africans still rely on traditional marketing.
